Raw barley is subjected to a pearling process where 100% of the husk is removed and then undergoes a roasting process. The product so obtained gives the beer a toasted aroma and flavor, with less bitterness and no astringency.
- Very mild roast with little bitterness.
- Delicate notes of chocolate mixed with coffee and nuts
- No intense acrid flavors, phenolics, bitterness and astringency characteristic of roasted barley
- Usage: up to 5-10%.
