MELANOIDIN

Description

Malt of very intense color and aroma with high levels of Maillard reaction that provides color and characteristic body. Very good alternative for beers with reddish or intense amber tones, very malty melanoidin flavor.

Characteristics

  • Slightly acid taste in high concentrations
  • Color: 50-70 EBC (15-25 Lovibond)
  • Usage up to 40% depending on beer style.
